AI for Claims

Polyrific Advisory for Insurance brings its cited, human-decided approach to claims. It is designed to open on the claim and read the file against the policy, from first notice of loss to settlement. Adjusters decide every claim. The file keeps the record.

A claim is the policy being tested

A claim starts with a notice of loss and a promise behind it. The adjuster works from the file: the loss, the policy it was written on, the documents that follow, and whatever underwriting knew about the risk when it was bound.

Most of that context lives in other systems. So the early work of a claim is retrieval and reconciliation: finding what the policy actually says, checking the file against it, and deciding what deserves a closer look. None of that work is judgment, and all of it comes before judgment can start.

Advisory for Insurance is designed to connect underwriting and claims on one substrate, so what the carrier already knows about the risk is on the file when the claim arrives. It is built to read the file, say what it found and where it found it, and leave the decision where it belongs.

How it is designed to work

Every phase is designed to end the same way. AFI recommends and calls out. The adjuster decides. The file keeps both.

01

Coverage reading

AFI is designed to read the claim against the policy it was written on: what is covered, what is excluded, and where the file and the policy disagree. It gives the adjuster policy-specific coverage detail and surfaces the coverage questions rather than answering them on anyone's behalf. The adjuster determines coverage.

02

Pattern flags

Anomaly detection is designed to flag patterns that need investigation: fraud indicators, historical claim patterns, risk signals already on the file. A flag is a callout, not a verdict. Adjusters decide what gets investigated, which is also what lets them expedite the legitimate claims.

03

Cited recommendations

AFI is designed to recommend damage assessments from document and image analysis, and to offer recommendations on coverage determination, fraud risk, and settlement amounts, with specialized models for property, casualty, auto, and workers' compensation lines. Every recommendation carries its citation. The adjuster decides, and what was recommended and who decided lands on the append-only record.

One application, underwriting to claims

Claims is part of Advisory for Insurance, the same application as underwriting, on one governed substrate, with one interface. Not a separate product, and not another login.

That is the point of building it in: what underwriting learns about a risk is meant to be on the file when the claim arrives.

From first notice of loss to settlement, on the record
